With over 1,100 members, MSEA is the second largest local education association in Alaska. As a member of MSEA, you’ll also belong to NEA-Alaska with over 11,000 members, and NEA which represents the interests of nearly 3 million educators from across the country. As a member, you’ll gain access to exclusive benefits, opportunities, and trainings which are not available to non-members. Membership Committee:
Engages with current and new educators. Welcomes them to the district and help them to ease the transition to our great district and association. As a part of the Membership Committee, you will be able to develop events (trainings and/or outings) that support your fellow educators throughout the school year.

PACE Committee:
Is the active voice of your association to the members of the School Board and Borough Assembly, because of their impact on our profession. PACE Committee members help to influence the policy makers, in our city, that impacts our careers. Interview potential candidates, host political centered events that engage, inform and activate our members to become the change that they want to see.

Bargaining Support Committee:
Supports the Bargaining Team (those members engaging directly with the district) by communicating and educating the community about the issues and concerns of our members.
